“And in the same era, the light was spread throughout the earth, causing many creatures of varying sizes and natures to come forth, such as lions, bears, fish, birds, and others. And similarly, grass, trees and other vegetation was springing forth from the earth, and much of it was edible for the new humans. And God also caused mountains, waterfalls and rivers to form throughout the earth, for the benefit of humanity.
The first humans were instructed by the Son of God to protect all living beings, and to understand that just as there are differences between the animals and the plant life upon earth, that there would also be differences between humans. As other humans were spreading across the face of the earth, evil began to arise in their hearts, and they become disobedient to the instructions provided to them by the Son of God.
And at this time, the Divine Mother, known as Anahita, sent forth from Zurvan, was compassionate toward the humans, and thus asked that her son, Mithra, send forth additional rays of light so that humans would have a continual source of divine knowledge. And the Son of God sent forth a portion of the Light from Hara Berezaiti*, the highest level of Bahisht**, in the form of a Fire.
*(Hara Berezaiti is the Home of Mithra in the Celestial Realms.)
**(The Kingdom of Light.)
And then the Son of God sent forth Parjanya*, he who strikes with justice, to speak unto some of the humans. Parjanya said unto them, “This fire, being a symbol of truth and righteous, shall be maintained for eternity. As long as this fire is continually maintained in righteousness, the very presence of the Lord and his retinue shall be with you.”
*(In Vedic Religion Parjanya is called “Indra”.)
And he said unto them, “But if this fire is treated with disrespect, you shall lose the divine knowledge that you have been granted, and you shall lie outside Bahisht, in the darkness and your body shall lie in coldness until you are destroyed forever.”
In time, other beings were sent from above to the earth, namely: Asha Vahista, Vohu Manah, Kshathra Vairya, Spenta Armaiti, Haurvatat, and Ameretat*. These beings continued to teach and safeguard the truth of the Light, causing some of the humans to grow in righteousness.
*(These beings are known in Avestan religion as the Amesha Spentas. In Asha we also refer to them as the Divine Sparks.)
And they were given understanding concerning the proper practice of the traditions from the celestial heights, regarding the purity of the blessed fire and the word of truth. The humans were taught not to forget the origin of the soul within, and that the taking in of divine knowledge would lead to their liberation from the chains of the physical world.
They learned that one day, the Celestial Twins would return with their father Tarendra, to awaken the seeds that had been planted within the earth, and that one day, a Teacher of Light, by authority of Mithra, would teach the remainder of humanity in the Way of Truth and Light.”–Tablet of Creation, Chapter Eight.
This is the eighth and final chapter of the Tablet of Creation. It is called “Hope for humanity through the Divine Fire”.
In the previous chapter Mithra appears to Mashya as Mir Tarendra and does two things:
1. He enlightens him to all the mysteries of Bahisht (The Kingdom of Light).
2. He joins with Mashya to give birth to a race of beings that combined elements of the celestial realm and the earthly or physical realm. This race is called the “Tarendrans” after their father, Mir Tarendra.
The first offspring from Mir Tarendra and Mashya were a pair of celestial twins. Their names were Mershad and Mahvar. These twins, in turn, would become the parents of the Tarendran race. History often remembers the Tarendrans either as divinities or in some cases, they describe them and demigods (being part mortal and part celestial). This race has existed in the etheric realm for as long as there has been sentient life in the world, just as humanity has existed on the surface of the world.
It should be noted that a corrupted narrative of this story exists among the Yezidi religious community in the world. The Yezidi’s are one of the oldest civilizations on the planet. Their beliefs were shared from generation to generation till they were put to writing, (The Black Book and the Book of Revelation) but by this time, the information had become highly corrupted and its original meanings had been left behind, unfortunately. It is here we begin our study.
“And in the same era, the light was spread throughout the earth, causing many creatures of varying sizes and natures to come forth, such as lions, bears, fish, birds, and others. And similarly, grass, trees, and other vegetation was springing forth from the earth, and much of it was edible for the new humans. And God also caused mountains, waterfalls and rivers to form throughout the earth, for the benefit of humanity.”
We could compare his information with that relayed in the early verses of the Book of Genesis, where God is making the world and all life upon it and within it.
Something we notice, however, is based on the original state of creation, we know that the creation is a re-creation or a re-making or re-forming of matter to make it sustainable and habitable. This newly remade world was now liveable for the race that would appear on this world: Humanity. This race would be sustained by the air, the water, the earth, the flora and the fauna on this world. The text explains that much of the wildlife and vegetation was edible for humanity. Even the making of mountains, and oceans and rivers etc., were made to make life liveable for humanity.
We might wonder how mountains would benefit humanity. Here is one online description of how mountains benefit us:
“Mountains have a profound influence on not only their local climate and immediate vicinity, but sometimes in areas a thousand or more miles away. This is due to the fact that mountains, jutting up into an otherwise orderly flow of winds around the globe, cause these winds to be lifted up, over and around the peaks and ridges. The forcing of the air to rise causes it to cool and condense, forming clouds and precipitation; this makes the mountain environment much wetter than the surrounding lowlands.” (Source “Mountain Professor’.)
So, mountains protrude into the higher elevations which, in turn, reuslt in lifting up the winds into the upper atmosphere and cool them. This cooling of air, leads to the creation of condensations, clouds and rains and so on. They are vital aspects of a thriving eco-system.
What about the Oceans? The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration states:
“The world’s ocean is crucial to heating the planet. While land areas and the atmosphere absorb some sunlight, the majority of the sun’s radiation is absorbed by the ocean. Particularly in the tropical waters around the equator, the ocean acts a as massive, heat-retaining solar panel. Earth’s atmosphere also plays a part in this process, helping to retain heat that would otherwise quickly radiate into space after sunset. “
Oh yes, and Oceans are where many people obtain food, as well.
Rivers provide are an important form of regulation between the land and the water. The nutrients brought into the lands by the rivers help sustain the surrounding lands. They provide vital ecosystems for the life both within the rivers and surrounding the rivers. So, as we can see, Mountains, Oceans, and Rivers are not simply there for the scenery, they make our environment habitable.
“The first humans were instructed by the Son of God to protect all living beings, and to understand that just as there are differences between the animals and the plant life upon earth, that there would also be differences between humans. As other humans were spreading across the face of the earth, evil began to arise in their hearts, and they become disobedient to the instructions provided to them by the Son of God.”
The Son of God is Mihr Yazd (The Living Spirit), and His Manifestation in the Creation is Mithra. So it is Mithra who teaches the first humans to protect all living beings. We were always intended to be the stewards of this world. To care for all life on this world, not just the people for a specific region or race or caste or gender or orientation. We were to care for all life: Human, Animal and Plant Life as well. In other words, if it had life, we were expected to care for it.
In Asha, we are given Ten Maxims to follow by Mithra. The fourth maxim states: “Do not harm any living being, neither abort an infant; and do not unnecessarily destroy any life including animals and plants. “
This is a reminder of the original mission of human life on earth as stewards of this world. To care for all life. It is sad how many have been lost because we forgot this instruction! And to understand that just as there are differences between the animals and the plant life upon earth, that there would also be differences between humans. Mithra wanted humans to realize that there would be physical differences between humans, just as there are differences between different types of animals and different types of plant life, but that this understanding was never intended to place any kind of value judgment between one people and another. There was always intended to be an inherent oneness in the understanding of mankind, regardless of the diversity of that life. How much suffering has been experienced in this world because we forgot this important teaching!
While we were given these instructions about caring for all life and being aware and accepting of the many differences of the many forms of life and the many people who would populate this world, we began to procreate and migrate across the face of the Earth. We would come together in tribes and creates communities. In all of this, we forgot the teachings of Mithra. We began to disobey Mithra by causing harm and killing other forms of life (human, animal and plant life). We began to create societies where some people were treated well and others were treated poorly. Some to the point of persecution, slavery, and death. Because we forgot Mithra’s teachings, we opened a doorway for the evil one to get a foothold back into the world and to unleash havoc through our lower natures.
“And at this time, the Divine Mother, known as Anahita, sent forth from Zurvan, was compassionate toward the humans, and thus asked that her son, Mithra, send forth additional rays of light so that humans would have a continual source of divine knowledge. And the Son of God sent forth a portion of the Light from Hara Berezaiti*, the highest level of Bahisht, in the form of a Fire.
And then the Son of God sent forth Parjanya, he who strikes with justice, to speak unto some of the humans. Parjanya said unto them, “This fire, being a symbol of truth and righteous, shall be maintained for eternity. As long as this fire is continually maintained in righteousness, the very presence of the Lord and his retinue shall be with you.”
The Godhead is composed of three Beings: Zurvan, Anahita, and Mihr Yazd. They are not three God but a Celestial Court. They are God (The Creator), Mother (The Divine Energy of Life) and the Son (the Totality of all Life.).
It was the Divine Mother of Life who, out of compassion for humanity at war with itself and its earthly home, that She asked Mihr Yazd, to send rays of light into the world, which in His Manifestation as Mithra, He accomplished. These rays of light were not simply light as we think of light in conventional terms. This light was a medium by which humanity received Gnosis (called Jnana in Sanskrit) or Divine Knowledge. This Divine Knowledge appeared in our world in the form of Fire.
This Divine Knowledge was sent as a reminder to humanity about the existence of God, which mankind had begun to forget, about its true nature as part of the One Created Being (Mihr Yazd), our need to awaken and ascend in order to return to our True Home in the Realm of Light. But also the original instructions given by Mithra for humanity: To care for all life and to be accepting of the differences of the many types of life that shared this world.
The Manifestations of the Living Spirit in Creation has a Home in the Celestial Realm. It is called “Hara Berezaiti” it is called the High Watchtower as it resides on the highest peaks in Bahisht.
One of the Celestial Beings that emanated from Mihr Yazd was Parjanya (also known in Vedic culture as “Indra”). Parjanya, appeared to some humans in this world at that time and He explained the meaning of the fire sent from Mithra to them, that it was sent to symbolize Truth and Righteousness. You see, humanity was on the verge of losing all sense of self, of its circumstances and its ultimate goal of reunification with the One Universal Soul in the Realm of Light one day. This Fire would remind humanity that there is a Higher Law than man’s law, a Higher Truth than the relative so-called “truths” of humanity. The Fire would remind people of the Truth and what is Righteous.
“And he said unto them, “But if this fire is treated with disrespect, you shall lose the divine knowledge that you have been granted, and you shall lie outside Bahisht, in the darkness and your body shall lie in coldness until you are destroyed forever.”
These humans were instructed to maintain a fire eternally, in righteousness (meaning those who tended those fires could not abandon Truth and Righteousness. The many sects that have tended religious fires but have adopted false beliefs and corrupt religious practices are unworthy of that Fire. So, the fire was to be maintained in righteousness. (not so-called “purity laws” that became the pre-occupation of some religious sects in ancient history, but the urity of mind, of heart and of spirit.) Parjanya told these humans that as long as the fire was maintained in righteousness that the presence of Mithra would always be with them. But this knowledge also came with a warning. If they should ever treat this fire with disrespect, they would no longer receive Gnosis/Jnana i.e. Divine Knowledge from Mithra. More than this, that if they treated this Fire with disrespect they would never awaken, they would never be spiritually liberated, they would never ascend back into the Realm of Eternal Light and they would never re-unify with the One Universal Soul of the Living Spirit. They would be cast into the darkness for all eternity.
“In time, other beings were sent from above to the earth, namely: Asha Vahista, Vohu Manah, Kshathra Vairya, Spenta Armaiti, Haurvatat, and Ameretat. These beings continued to teach and safeguard the truth of the Light, causing some of the humans to grow in righteousness.”
After the time of Parjanya speaking to humanity, in another age, other Celestial Beings, called the Amesha Spentas (which means “Holy Immortals”.) were sent to this world, to humanity to reinforce what Mithra had sent and Parjanaya had taught. The names of of these Holy Immortals (which we also call “The Divine Sparks” in Asha) are:
Asha Vahista (who personifies Truth and Righteousness)
Vohu Manah (who personifies Good Mind or Good Purpose)
Kshathra Vairya (who personifies Desirable Dominion meaning the Dominion of the Living Spirit, also equated with the use of Free Will)
Spenta Armaiti ( who personifies Holy Devotion)
Haurvatat (who represents Wholeness)
Ameretat (who represents Immortality)
The Amesha Spentas have been known in many cultures throughout the ages in many ways. But their focus has always been to teach and protect the Truth of the Light. Those humans throughout time who have understood this and embraced this, have spiritually awakened and have grown in Truth and Righteousness.
“And they were given understanding concerning the proper practice of the traditions from the celestial heights, regarding the purity of the blessed fire and the word of truth. The humans were taught not to forget the origin of the soul within, and that the taking in of divine knowledge would lead to their liberation from the chains of the physical world.”
The humans who were awakened enough to receive the Truth and consciously worked to grow in Righteousness were given knowledge about the way in which to observe the spiritual practices as they were also observes in the Realm of Light, in the practice of the Religion of Light among the inhabitants of Bahisht, itself. They were taught of the importants of caring for the Blessed Fire just as it is cared for in the Realm of Light and they were taught to embody the Truth just as the inhabitants of Bahisht embody the Truth.
The text tells us that through all this time and great effort humanity was always instructed not to forget about the existence of the soul, what it really is (a portion of the One Universal Soul of Mihr Yazd), that is originated in the Realm of Light, that it became fragemented in the physical creation and must awaken, ascend and reunify to once again, become Whole. The text also tells us that if humans will not only hear or read Divine Knowledge (Gnosis) but actually embrace this and make it a part of themselves, that by doing this, they would be liberated from the dying creation and be free of the prison of physical matter for all eternity.
“They learned that one day, the Celestial Twins would return with their father Tarendra, to awaken the seeds that had been planted within the earth, and that one day, a Teacher of Light, by authority of Mithra, would teach the remainder of humanity in the Way of Truth and Light.”
Of those humans that listened to Parjnaya, who received and were transformed by the ministrations and knowledge of the Amesha Spentas down through the ages, there were those who were taught that, one day, in the distant future, there would come a time when Mershad and Mahvar, the Celestial Twins and parents of the Tarendran race, would return into this world, that they would do this in the company of Mir Tarendra, who had been in the company of the first human so many ages ago.
We in Asha know this event has already happened. It occurred in the Fall of 2008 in Chennai, India, in the presence of many pious souls from different parts of the Earth who were its witnesses. We often refer to this even as the “Great Convocation”.
In the time that Mir Tarendran (whom we also called “Mitraya Tarendra”), and Mershad and Mahvar were here, from the pious souls who were present or who were aware of what was going on, there were those who began to awaken. What this means is that the Tarendran souls that had been placed in the Earth at the very beginning of this world, who had taken birth in the final age and were living as humans (also called “Tarendrans of Terrestrial Binding “ because where other Tarendrans are not bound by mortal flesh, these other Tarendrans took upon themselves the mission to awaken humanity in the final age and did this in the form of humanity.
They were taught that one day a Teacher of Light would appear in the world and that this Teacher of Light would teach the awakening souls the Way of Truth and Light in other words they way to awaken and ascend and return back to Bahisht so these souls could be made Whole once more in the Eternal Realm of Light. His Holiness Mir Eresh Zademir, is that very Teacher that was spoken of by the Celestial Twins.
And it is here we conclude the Tablet of Creation.
We started this study in the very heights of Bahisht. Charted the actions that led to the creation of evil and the realm of darkness. We learned about the many attempts of the evil one to conquer the realm of Light and her theft of some of the Light of the Realm of Light and that this theft led to the slowing of that light which created the temporary realm of physical matter. We learned how our souls came to be trapped in matter. How the original physical creation was a veritable hellscape but due to the Mercy of Zurvan, matter was re-ordered to include beauty harmony and symmetry so all of creation was not hellish. We learned how and why Mithra appeared to mankind and how the Tarendarn race came to be and why.
We learned about the instructions given to man by Mithra to care for all life and be accepting of the differences between the many forms of life and among the differennces within mankind itself.
But that humanity forgot and began to be destructive to the world and the life upon it and embraced division and elitism over harmony leading to great suffering in the world and man began to forget the Creator and its very own soul or that Heaven was its true Home.
We learned that the Divine Mother called for Mithra to send Divine Knowledge into the world to remind humanity of reality as it truly is, not simply what it sees around itself or the dimly lit views of men separate from Truth and Righteousness.
We learned of the teachings of Parjanya to embrace the symbol of the Fire of Divine Knowledge of Mithra and to protect it, but also the fate of those who forget.
We learned of the Amesha Spentas (Holy Immortals) that have taught mankind throughout the ages of Truth and Righteousness.
And lastly, we learned of the time when Mir Tarendra would one day appear in this world with his first sons: Mershad and Mahvar and they would awaken the sleeping race within the world, the Tarendrans of Terrestrial binding, who would serve to guide humanity back to the Truth and encourage them to lead lives of Righteousness, so they could awaken, ascend and return Home to Bahisht.
Our Natural State is Truth and Righteousnes. It is the state of the celestial inhabitants of Bahisht. It is the state we need to return to if we are to ascend and be made whole in the Realm of Light one day.
